Tuesday Group Discussions

I thought that the group discussions on Tuesday went really well. We all agreed and came up with, what I believe is, a great deffiniton for drawing. We defined drawing as: A creation of an artist's interpretation of a subject matter or concept that is made by the use of various mediums & techniques. Then we went on to list some very important characteristics to think about as we ponder was makes an excellent drawing. Some characteristics that we think are important are: composition, lighting, line variation, range of value, and depth. My favorite drawing that our group found I believe was taken by Josh. He took a very rich picture of a water fountain that I really enjoy. It's on his flickr page if anybody wants to re-look at it.
